Audi Minor Maintenance Services

Every Audi follows a minor maintenance schedule. The first service under this category should be scheduled at 10,000 miles or one year of ownership. After that, minor maintenance services should be scheduled every 20,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first.

By following this schedule, you will be scheduling services at these mileage intervals:

  • 10,000 miles
  • 30,000 miles
  • 50,000 miles
  • 70,000 miles
  • 90,000 miles

You'll follow this schedule until either the end of your Audi's life or until you get a new Audi.

Minor maintenance services include:

  • Brake system inspection.
  • Engine oil and filter replacement.
  • Complete multi-point inspection.
  • Reset service reminder display.
  • Tire repair kit inspection.

Although these services are labeled as minor, they are still important to the overall functioning of your Audi.

Audi Standard Maintenance Services

Standard Audi maintenance services begin at 20,000 miles or two years of Audi ownership. Then, you will schedule these services every 20,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first.

This interval is exactly like the minor maintenance service schedule, but it comes between each minor service. So, while you will need to schedule your standard services at these mileage intervals:

  • 20,000 miles
  • 40,000 miles
  • 60,000 miles
  • 80,000 miles
  • 100,000 miles

Just as with minor maintenance, you'll need to follow this schedule until the end of your Audi's life or until you get a new model.

The list of standard maintenance services includes more services and more model-specific services. In addition to all minor services, your Audi will receive the following:

  • Body inspection
  • Tire inspection
  • Exterior and interior light inspection
  • Engine cooling system check
  • Road test

Hybrid and electric Audis will also receive specialized inspections, such as charging cable, charging socket, and high voltage system maintenance connecter inspections.

Additional Maintenance

There are a number of additional maintenance services that need to either be completed at higher mileage intervals or are reserved for certain models.

The following are services and their corresponding intervals that are required for all Audi vehicles:

  • Brake fluid change: Every two years
  • Dust and pollen filter replacement: Every 20,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first
  • Check drainage system of panoramic sunroof systems (if equipped): Every 20,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first

In contrast, a service like an S-Tronic transmission fluid and filter change at 40,000 miles is only required for the R8 and Coupe and Spyder models, while other models only need a fluid change at the same interval.

Make sure to check with your model's owner manual to verify which additional services are required for your Audi.
